GlobalReach are finalists for 'Most Innovative Hotspot' award in the prestigious Wi-Fi Industry Awards 2012.

GlobalReach, in partnership with Virgin Media, was shortlisted for the ‘Most Innovative Hotspot Venue’ award, as a result of their outstanding achievements in taking Wi-Fi to the London Underground, during the 2012 London Olympics.

Marjorie Leonidas, GlobalReach’s Chief Commercial Officer said, "GlobalReach is proud to have contributed to the great success of London’s Summer of 2012, helping to keep Londoners and tourists alike connected wherever they travelled on ‘The Tube’. With 4m passengers per day, it is becoming increasingly important to provide a service which delivers seamless access to all the content and applications we love, while keeping people in touch with their friends, family and work colleagues while on the move."

The Wi-Fi Industry Awards, organised by the Wireless Broadband Alliance, celebrate innovations in Wi-Fi services across the world and take place at the WBA Wi-Fi Global Congress in San Francisco.
