GlobalReach Technology Joins HTNG To Understand & Improve The Hospitality Wi-Fi Experience

LONDON, 4 OCTOBER 2018 – GlobalReach Technology has joined HTNG (Hospitality Technology Next Generation) to respond to guest demands for an improved Wi-Fi experience. It's membership in HTNG will help it understand the challenges for global hospitality brands and Wi-Fi providers, and drive emerging solutions which improve upon the user experience.

GlobalReach already delivers, manages and monetizes Wi-Fi services and solutions for a number of global brands, cities and carrier networks around the World. Its highly-configurable, scalable and globally distributed technology platform, includes built-in authentication and provisioning, network and subscriber management, marketing tools, detailed analytics, supported by professional services, to allow hotel brands to understand and improve the guest quality of experience (QoE).

GlobalReach's membership comes as HTNG announces a new workgroup to help hospitality companies deliver an optimized Wi-Fi experience for guests. The group's acting co-chair is GlobalReach Technology's chief technology officer (CTO), Dr Chris Spencer, who is a recognized thought leader in best-practice secure, seamless sign-on experience, and the benefits of Hotspot 2.0. Chris previously presented at HTNG, Barcelona 2015 on the benefits of distributed authentication with a single identity.

Chris Spencer said: "We've listened to a lot of frustration from hotels about the impact of sub-optimal Wi-Fi services on reduced guest satisfaction, not reflecting brand standards, inability to manage this service element, and lack of insight into guest usage and behaviour. Our goal is to turn this experience on its head, by giving hotels and their service provider partners, the flexibility and control they need to improve the guest quality of experience and add real value to their businesses."
