Wireless Global Congress, Atlanta, May 21, 2019: Super long-range Wi-Fi provider Sun Global Broadband (SGB) has partnered with leading carrier-grade wireless solutions and services provider GlobalReach Technology to deliver secure, seamless Passpoint Wi-Fi roaming services on Oahu. This allows SGB partners to experience certified, seamless sign-on using industry-standard Passpoint services.
The GlobalReach Technology Wi-Fi inter-connect hub will allow mobile users to use Wi-Fi roaming to access data, video, text and voice capabilities
in Waikiki and Honolulu. Passpoint provides easy-to-use services at indoor and outdoor locations from Diamond Head to Ala Moana and Ward Village.
It will include long-range fixed Wi-Fi with mobility of up to 40 miles per hour, as well as LoRaWan for Smart City. The extension of this network
to other tourist locations and the Honolulu airport is being implemented this year.
